The judgements the service hands back to you

The operator is explicit about this: seller credibility varies across the marketplaces, and you should make your own judgement before purchasing. Here is what that actually asks of you.

Type what you are after in English. What comes back is product cards, each pointing at one listing.

Whose job

What the service does, and where it stops

The division is published rather than implied. The operator does not sell products: you find a link on a third-party platform or in a community and submit it. On which seller to trust, the wording leaves nothing to infer.

As seller credibility varies across third-party platforms, you should make your own judgment before purchasing.

That is not small print. It describes how the service is built. A purchasing agent executes; it does not vouch. The things it will do for you afterwards, inspection and photographs, are checks against your order, not against your intentions.

So the useful question before pasting is not whether the item is good. It is which of your assumptions nothing downstream will catch.

Two jobs

Side by side, so the line is visible

Nothing on the left is a judgement and nothing on the right is automated. Most disappointment comes from expecting a column to cover something in the other one.

The service's job

Buy from the address you provided.

Check style, colour, quantity, size marking and model against the order.

Photograph what arrived.

Store it, pack it, ship it, and chase the seller when asked.

Yours

Decide the seller is worth using.

Decide the variant, before copying the address.

Decide what counts as acceptable for this item.

Decide whether the measurements suit you.

Reading a listing

How to judge a seller you cannot read

You cannot read the shop's name and translation will not help much, because shop names are not descriptive. What survives translation is structure.

Three habits

Judging a listing before you order

Pick the variant on the listing, not in the message. The order form has a structured field for it. Anything that decides what arrives belongs in the structured field, and the message is for the conditions around it.

Settle measurements before paying. Basic inspection checks the size marking against the order. It explicitly does not check size deviation, so a garment labelled the size you ordered passes even if it is cut small. If the measurement matters, either it is in the listing or you buy the measurement service once it arrives. What a card can and cannot tell you covers which of these the catalogue settles.

Decide about seals before you buy. Sealed goods are not opened for inspection. If the only way to know is to open it, the warehouse cannot be the one that finds out.

Questions

Asked with a cart open

How do I tell where a shop ships from?

The listing's shipping section names it, and it is one of the few fields that survives machine translation. It is worth checking first because it is cheap and it changes which rules apply.

Are high review counts worth anything?

Less than the photographs inside the reviews. A count accumulates; a stranger's photograph in daylight does not. Read four of those instead of the number.

Can I ask the agent which seller is better?

The published answer is that the judgement is yours. The service buys what you link to, which is also why the link has to be the right one before you pay.

Is it worth buying the measurement service?

When the fit is the thing you are unsure about, yes, because it is the one gap basic inspection names explicitly. It can be added after the standard photographs go up, which means you can decide once you have seen them.
